During afternoon tea with Grade VIII students, Sally Powell heard rumblings of the girls' love of sushi.  To satisfy their adventurous palates, Dining Services Director Donna Gassner is introducing shrimp rolls, California rolls and vegetarian California rolls on Thursday, May 26.  We hope this healthy year-end treat is a hit!

Pssst ... did you see Donna in the news?

Catch up on our girls' most recent accomplishments in this new Notable News section of the Bulletin.

Academics

AP Bio students trace their ancestry through the National Geographic Genographic Project. See the story along with other Baldwin happenings on our Community News page.

Arts

Energetic, delightful performances by Grades I-III Choruses & Ensemble and Grades IV-V Chorus, Chimes & Ensemble.

Athletics
Stotesbury Cup: All Baldwin boats qualified for semi-finals and the team earned two medals - setting a course record in Lightweight Double.

The Parents' Association reminds you that required and independent reading lists can be found in the Download section on the right hand side of the Middle School and Upper School webpages.

To simplify the purchase of required reading purchasing, The Baldwin School Parents' Association has paired with Allbooks Inc. Allbooks will return 15% of the proceeds to the Parents' Association to be used on projects that will further enrich the lives of all Baldwin students.  You will also receive free shipping and handling with the purchase of two or more books.

Drum roll please ... the grand total raised at this year's phenomenal "Night in Monte Carlo" is approximately $137,000.  More importantly, a great time was had by all who attended, organized and planned the wonderful evening.  The Gala epitomized the definition of "friend-raiser." Thanks to everyone for everything.  If you still have auction items to pick up, please contact Anne Titterton as soon as possible.
We are pleased to report the exciting progress we are seeing from parents who have made gifts or pledges to the Annual Fund. Currently, 85% of our parent community has participated. With your help, we will watch the numbers on our Annual Fund baramoter rise as we strive towards 100% participation!

Upper School exam information is posted on the Upper School page of our website. All conflicts should be reported to Ms. Tillger in the Upper School office so that we can schedule make-up exams as needed. We wish every girl the best of luck, recommend a good breakfast before exams, and urge her to get to school in good time before exams!
