
Rich Comly has more than 16 years of volleyball experience at the high school, collegiate, and Junior Olympic levels both as a level high indoor player, a pro-beach volleyball player, and as a coach.
Most recently, he was the head coach at the Gwynedd Mercy College Volleyball Team where he coached several players to the All-Conference Team, and made it to the CSAC playoffs.
Before Gwynedd, Coach Comly spent at Perkiomen Valley High School, where he started the program and made district playoffs in his first season. He also helped mentor three athletes who were named All-Conference and others who went on to play at the collegiate level, (West and Kutztown University).
Coach Comly previously held positions as head coach at Chestnut Hill College where he was named the 2003 AWCC Coach of the Year as the Griffins tripled the amount of wins from the previous year. He also spent time at Division II Philadelphia University. During his time at Synergy Volleyball club, Coach Comly worked with numerous athletes that went on to receive college scholarships and also had a chance to work with a player who made the USA national team.
Coach Comly currently is the President and Co-founder of Delaware Volleyball. The club has helped produce millions of dollars of scholarship opportunities for its athletes.
In his spare time, he enjoys time golfing, mountain biking and hiking with his chocolate lab Murphy.
