Shelley Lapinski, the head athletic trainer, comes to Baldwin with a variety of experience. She holds a Bachelors of Science in Kinesiology from Temple University. While at Temple, Ms. Lapinski had the opportunity to work with Division I athletes including baseball, field hockey, and football.
Ms. Lapinski also holds a Masters of Science degree in Sports Medicine from Armstrong Atlantic State University in Savannah, GA. During her graduate work Ms. Lapinksi had the opportunity to complete a thesis while working at a competitive athletic high school. She is a certified strength and conditioning specialist and has a strong background in strength and conditioning. Ms. Lapinski's graduate level thesis focused on the Residual Effects of Same Day Lower Extremity Strength and Conditioning Training on Drop Jump Propulsion Kinetics. She has also had the opportunity to teach collegiate level classes for undergraduate and graduate students; these classes involved strength and conditioning and advanced musculoskeletal anatomy.
