Baldwin Junior Varsity Basketball Coach Robert McNamara has been passionate about coaching basketball since he spent two years in high school as the assistant coach of a 7th and 8th grade CYO boys team. Since high school, Mr. McNamara has played basketball in intramural and recreational leagues and spent a season playing with the Galway Titans Basketball Club while he studied abroad in Ireland.
Mr. McNamara has spent much of his professional life working with young people. He has worked for YMCA summer camps, the John's Hopkins Center for Talented Youth, and last June finished a year of service working with students in West Philadelphia through City Year. Mr. McNamara has also worked with the Baldwin School summer sports camps over the past two summers.
Mr. McNamara attended Villanova University where he received his B.A. in Philosophy in 2008. He is currently pursuing his Masters in Education and Teaching Certification at Villanova. Mr. McNamara aspires to be a positively influence young people through English education and basketball instruction once he has completed his Villanova program.
