Baldwin Scholars

The Middle School is dedicated to building and sustaining a community that reflects the varied interests of each student. The students gather at the beginning of each day in homerooms for greetings and attendance. Twice weekly there is extended homeroom during which students and homeroom teachers meet to converse, play games, create bulletin boards, and work on the Middle School yearbook.

Leadership
Many opportunities for leadership exist in the Middle School, including roles as class officers and senators, and as Service League [ed note: link to Service League page] and Athletic Association [ed note: link to AA page] representatives from each homeroom. All service-minded students are encouraged to join in the projects organized by the very active Service League.

Community
Class meetings are opportunities for discussing the upcoming grade level activities. Another forum that builds and sustains community is the weekly assembly program; each week offers a different program that highlights the talents, interests and achievements of the students.

Fun
What would the school year be without a dance and extracurricular trips? There are trips to the theater, Colonial Williamsburg, Camp Kweebec, the Zoo, the Franklin Institute, the Baltimore Aquarium, language trips and the end of the year visit to either Dorney Park or Hershey Park.
