Baldwin hosts student diversity conference
The GPS conference will be a two day event, starting with a movie night on March 19 and continuing with a conference from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on March 20. Students may attend the whole event or either piece. The movie will be Prom Night in Mississippi, followed by a facilitated discussion. The next day will include workshops and other activities to address diversity and leadership issues.

The movie night is free, with pizza available for $1 a slice. The fee for the Saturday portion of the conference is $10 per person in advance and $15 dollars at the door for any last minute attendees.  Students attending from other schools need one teacher from their school to accompany them. To register students, please email a list of the students and the chaperoning adult to Baldwin Upper School Dean of Students Pooh Gephart at pgephart@baldwinschool.org.

The GPS conference is run by area independent schoolstudents, with the support of the Multicultural Resource Center.
