About 100 guests came for Pakistani snacks and to see an exhibit of the beautiful crafts that the chapter's all-girls partner school in Pakistan, the Khanote School, has sent to Baldwin in the past three years of the partnership. The chapter's president Nadia Tareen gave a presentation to the audience about how education can empower girls worldwide. Afterwards, Romeena and Sami Kureishy with tabla-drummer Aqeel Bhatti performed traditional Pakistani songs, which the audience enjoyed immensely! Baldwin junior Anjalie Field also performed a classical Indian dance.
Thank you from GLI to everyone who made the night such a success and for supporting the movement for universal girls' education.
