In March 2007, the FDA learned that certain pet foods were sickening and killing cats and dogs. Upon investigation, authorities found contaminants in protein substitutes used as ingredients in pet food and also in infant formula.
Anjalie's curiosity was piqued by this recall and she began research to accurately test food protein. Anjalie recently published her findings in the journal, Food Chemistry, and also presented them at the annual meeting of the American Chemical Society in Boston.
