With two outs in the 7th inning, Baldwin was able to tack on 3 insurance runs on RBI singles by Randa Melham and Amanda Buck, and Tessa Logan shut down GA in the bottom half of the inning, with a great running catch by right fielder Julia Fournier on a hard hit line drive ending the game. Melham led the Bears on offense, going 4 for 4 with 4 RBI, 4 runs, and a stolen base, and reaching base in all five of her plate appearances. Center fielder Alex Lucas also reached base 5 times in a 3 for 5 day, scoring 3 runs, and made a great running catch on a deep fly to center field before doubling off the runner at 2nd base to end the 2nd inning. Tessa Logan got the complete game victory for the Bears, striking out 5. | | back | |
