According to Kathleen Harte Simone, Varsity Field Hockey Coach, “Brooke has great scoring ability and an innate ability to set up her teammates. She has the best field vision of any hockey player I’ve coached. Brooke’s talent, passion for the game and for the Baldwin hockey program will be missed immensely. I know she will bring the same enthusiasm and abilities to Georgetown.”
Brooke has participated in the USA Field Hockey Futures program for four years and has been a member of the Vipers Field Hockey Indoor Club for five years and East Coast Field Hockey Club for two. She was presented the 2009 USA Field Hockey Youth Leadership Award for the Main Line Play 4 the Cure, an event she developed to raise awareness of and funds for the Susan G. Komen for the Cure Foundation.
At Baldwin, Brooke is a three-sport varsity athlete, also competing in Winter Track and Lacrosse. She has served as a class officer for three years, most recently as Vice President of her senior class. Brooke is a National Merit Finalist, an AP Scholar, and a National Latin Scholar. She is also a member of Baldwin’s orchestral ensemble group and hand bell choir. Active in many clubs, Brooke serves as the Head of Modern Science Club, Contemporary Club, Democrat Club, The Overbrook School for the Blind Partnership and Baldwin’s chapter of Amnesty International. She is also active in Model United Nations, Lamplighters, and Peer Counseling, and volunteer tutors at Bryn Mawr Tutoring.
At Georgetown, Brooke will study in The Edmund A. Walsh School of Foreign Service and plans to major in Science, Technology & International Affairs or International Politics.
