Endowment “Little could I have imagined when I started teaching here that I would still be doing so 29 years later! Baldwin is a vibrant community where our commitment to excellence and to realizing the full potential of each person is part of the fabric of our daily lives. I am especially grateful to have had many opportunities to continue my own learning and growth during my tenure, as evidenced by the evolution of my responsibilities over time. While some endowment funds are restricted for a particular use such as financial aid, general endowment funds assist the overall budget providing support for all aspects of the school’s program such as faculty salaries and benefits, scholarships, athletics, the arts, instructional services, and college counseling. A percentage of endowment income is used each year within the general operating budget unless restricted for a particular purpose. The Baldwin School and the Board of Trustees are committed to continued growth of the endowment.
