Write down the following: Relate what happens to chromosomes in meiosis with what happens to genes that determine an organism’s traits. One way to do this is to follow one pair of genes found on a homologous pair of chromosomes, (like eye color), label it, and then follow the chromosomes through meiosis to see where the pair of genes ends up in the gametes that are formed.

Biology Assignment Sheet #1
Throughout the year, you will receive assignment sheets. Be aware that we may not always reach a certain point and assignments may shift. I will also post the assignments on the web so that you may check to be sure you are on the right schedule, as well as on the board in the front of the classroom. These sheets are for you in case you need to get ahead in preparation for a heavy week or an upcoming absence. Eventually, we will get to the assignments, even if it is a day or two later than noted on these sheets.
