H. Joan Merkins is a teacher and coach in the Physical Education Department for the past 21 years. Ms. Merkins received her Bachelors of Science from Cabrini College. Before coming to Baldwin, Ms. Merkins was the Athletic Director at the School of the Holy Child in Drexel Hill, PA and was a physical education teacher and coach at the Agnes Irwin School in Rosemont. Ms. Merkins teaches lower, middle and upper school, is an advisor for the tenth grade and is a middle school lacrosse coach. She served as the middle school volleyball coach for more than 10 years and with her team, achieved their 100th win.
