The Baldwin School is seeking an experienced Theater Teacher to teach multiple classes at the US and MS levels as well as direct two plays a year.
Qualifications
Candidates should have an M.A. in a relevant subject area and at least 5 years of teaching experience in the discipline. The strongest candidates will have experience in teaching educational theater and the ability to oversee all aspects of a production, including tech and budget. We seek a candidate who has the ability to design a curriculum and choose plays which are affirming for women and in keeping with the school philosophy. A willingness to “think outside the box” with play choices, yet within the limits of an all school audience is encouraged. A successful candidate will work collaboratively both across divisions and across departments; has strong organizational skills; and is flexible and has a sense of humor.
