Dear Middle School Families:
I want to extend a warm welcome to you and your daughters for the academic year 2011-2012. In my fourth year as Director of Middle School, I am looking forward to working with the girls as they develop their leadership skills, self confidence and independence. I am eager to share their energy, enthusiasm and curiosity in the classrooms, the corridors and the playing fields as they begin or continue their journey through Middle School. This is an exciting time in your daughters’ lives when they explore new ideas, build their self confidence and develop the love of learning that is a distinguishing characteristic of Baldwin thinking girls.
Middle School is the ideal place for each of your daughters to discover her potential and develop her individual talents in a caring, supportive environment. The faculty and I are here to help the girls every step of the way. I invite you to share our excitement with your active participation during the coming year.
Included in this letter are important Middle School dates to help you organize your family calendar. I would appreciate your assistance with the following details in order to make this journey as smooth as possible:
*help the girls arrive at school on time and in uniform
*return all required medical and parent contact forms to the Wellness Center as soon as possible
In addition to the rising VIs, we have 18 families new to our Middle School. Please help them feel welcome in the coming weeks.
Thank you all for your positive contributions to the life of the Middle School community. Please know that our communications for the remainder of the year will be posted in the weekly e-newsletter. In the interim, do not hesitate to call me if you have questions or comments.
Best regards,
Lois Fisher Pressman
Middle School Director
