School Nurses Rosalind Price and Doreen Jones work in the welcoming, centrally located Wellness Center, where students and the school community receive first aid as well as health and wellness education. It is a safe place where students feel comfortable. The nurses educate parents, students, faculty and staff about health issues and food allergies, promoting Baldwin's Allergy and Severe Illness Policy to create a safe environment for all those on campus.
Rosalind also co-teaches the "Life Skills for Wellness" classes, focusing on age-appropriate health, wellness and nutrition issues. The nurses work closely with other members of the SIS team and may refer students to other specialists.
Rosalind Price and Doreen Jones administer first aid and prescription medicines, and assesses whether a child needs to go home if unwell. They assist a girl and her family in the event that specialized care is needed while attending school, and serves as a resource for parents and students.
