| Senior signs letter of intent to play lacrosse |
|
2/13/2009 Baldwin School senior Stephanie Salvitti has signed a National Letter of Intent to play for the West Chester University Golden Rams Women’s Lacrosse program beginning in the fall of 2009.
Salvitti is a member of Baldwin’s varsity lacrosse team as well as the SEPA 2009 lacrosse program. She received All-Main Line honors in lacrosse the last two seasons and is also a varsity starter in soccer and basketball at Baldwin. In addition, she has been a member of Baldwin’s Athletic Association Board for the past four years, a Lamplighter volunteer, and is currently one of the senior class representatives to the Baldwin Alumnae Association Executive Board. Salvitti has volunteered with the Special Olympics, SHARE, and the Susan G. Komen Society.
She also will receive one of West Chester's largest athletic scholarships.
“I cannot wait to play for Coach Martino and a national championship team,” said Salvitti. “The recruitment process was a terrific experience. On all of my visits to campus, I enjoyed meeting with the entire coaching staff and players, as well as the admission officers. I plan to pursue a career in physical therapy and look forward to starting my college experience at West Chester. I would also like to thank Coaches Kathleen Simone (Baldwin) and Norsoph (SEPA) and Jeremiah Shepherd (Baldwin college counselor) for all of their support.” |
