|
1/7/2009
Baldwin Athletics will sponsor a world-class International Squash Exhibition Match at the Baldwin squash courts on Monday, Jan. 19 at 7 p.m. Former World Champion and current No. 8 player in the world, Vanessa Atkinson of Holland, will play Karen Kronemeyer of Australia, currently ranked 37th in the world. Kronemeyer is also the varsity and Middle School squash coach at Baldwin.
In addition to the squash match, the event will feature squash give-aways, including a raffle for a Head squash racket and a private lesson with Coach Kronemeyer. A question-and-answer session with the players will follow the match. Also, James Wilsdrop of Great Britain, who is ranked No. 3 in the world, will be in attendance and part of the question-and-answer session.
All Baldwin families and their friends are welcome to this event. Limited, frontcourt seating is available at $20 per seat. Stadium seating is offered at $10 per seat, and standing court-view space will be reserved free of change. Donations are welcome. Entry fees will pay for Atkinson’s appearance. To reserve your space, contact Assistant Director of Athletics Kathleen Simone at ksimone@baldwinschool.org. |
