Baldwin has a vibrant and diverse community in which we all belong. We are here because we believe in the education and support of our extraordinary girls, yet we are also connected in many other ways. Come join us to begin exploring how we can all feel a stronger connection to our community through topics such as our common interests, diversity, and cultural values. The meetings will be held three times every day in an effort to accommodate everyone’s busy schedules. A Message from Upper School Director Eric Benke
The year is off to a flying start. Thanks for the great turnout and enthusiasm on Academic Evening. Remember that all students will be away from school this Thursday and Friday on a grade trip or college visit, as will most of the faculty. We have no school next Tuesday because of Rosh Hashanah; families whose girls who will miss Wednesday because of their religious observances should call the school attendance line in advance. Absences for religious reasons are approved as a matter of course; it is helpful to know who will be out. Note also that we have a holiday on Yom Kippur, Oct. 9, and an in-service day (no classes) on Oct. 10. As a result of those days, we have a regular school day on Monday, Oct. 13.

A Message from Lower School Director Baiba Vasys
As you know, for the safety of students who have life threatening allergies, the school prohibits products containing peanuts and tree nuts throughout the entire campus. We thank you for your attention to this very important policy. It is found in the medical information on our website and in the handbooks. Granola bars, a variety of snacks, “Lunchables”, and other items, might list peanut and nut flours, and other nut products as ingredients. Some “Lunchables” have Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups as a dessert.
