5/2/2013. . . Maggie Mae Shields '09, senior captain of the Franklin & Marshall lacrosse team, was named Centennial Conference of the Week for her stellar performance last week in conference play versus Gettysburg and Dickinson Colleges. 
1/14/2013. . . Alex Sawin '10 won the deciding match in four games to give the Princeton University women's squash team the win over top-seeded Harvard. Alex made a remarkable comeback in game four to secure the win for Princeton, after trailing 4-1.
1/14/2013. . . Char Damico'10 was recently named a captain of the Bucknell University Women's Lacrosse Team, a Division I program competing in the Patriot Conference. She is a junior.
 
Char was a four-year varsity starter for Baldwin varsity lacrosse team from 2007 - 2010. She captained the team her senior year and was Head of the Athletic Association. 
Local Villanova resident and Baldwin Alumni, Kaylah Kleczka, a UMASS Freshman rowed at the Head of the Fish this weekend in Saratoga Springs, NY (2 seat) with three UMASS Seniors, winning gold in the Collegiate Quad by twenty seconds with a time of 13:02.72.
 
Kleczka also rowed in the Junior Varsity 8+ (5 seat) which finished in second place, winning silver with a time of 12:39.64. For complete details please see:http://www.umassathletics.com/sports/w-rowing/recaps/102812aaa.html

 

Villanova resident and Baldwin school alumni Kaylah Kleczka ('12), competed in here first collegiate regatta Saturday, October 6, 2012, at Head of the Housatonic in Shelton, CT.  Kaylah rowed seven (7) seat in the UMASS Novice 8+ that finished 2ndplace, winning a silver medal.

12/10/2011. . . DURHAM, NC- Duke women's lacrosse redshirt senior Emma Hamm (Baldwin '2007 alumna) earned first team Inside Lacrosse Face-Off Yearbook Preseason All-America recognition as announced by the organization.

Hamm, a native of Wayne, Pa., became the fifth Tewaaraton Trophy finalist in Duke women's lacrosse history after setting career highs in goals (51), assists (25), points (76) and draw controls (71) last season.  Duke's season leader in goals and draw controls, Hamm posted three or more goals in 11 games and had eight games with at least five points a season ago, earning first team IWLCA All-America, first team IWLCA All-Region, All-ACC and All-NCAA Tournament honors for her efforts. A three-year starter for the Blue Devils, she holds the program record with 176 career draw controls and ranks second in the record books with 65 career assists. For her career, Hamm has played in and started 62 games, posting 98 goals and 65 assists for 163 points and ranks 12th in the Duke record books for career points and 14th in goals.

10/15. . . WEST POINT, NY - The Amherst College women’s tennis team traveled to the campus of Army (9/24 - 9/26) to compete in the 2010 Eastern Championships against opposition from Divisions I, II and III. Amherst’s lineup was split into doubles and singles brackets as individuals, with a number of Lord Jeff’s fairing very well despite the tough matchups. The Jeffs took home a pair of titles, including the Flight C Singles and Flight B Doubles crowns.
 
In notable doubles action, Amherst’s Mimi Bell (Cleveland, OH) and Jen Newman (Haverford, PA) won the Flight B Doubles bracket. Out of the number four seed spot, Bell and Newman took out opposition from Fordham, Hofstra, Bucknell, Army and UMass for the title.

Emma Hamm ’07 Named Tri-Captain of Duke Women’s Lacrosse Team

DURHAM, N.C. - The Duke women's lacrosse team has named redshirt junior Emma Hamm a tri-captain for the 2010-11 season as announced by head coach Kerstin Kimel.
 
According to Kimel, "All three (tri-captains, including Hamm) are natural leaders who always put the needs of the team and their teammates before their own. They are committed, hardworking and fierce competitors who lead by example both on and off the field and in the classroom.

10/6. . . Baldwin lacrosse defensive standout Char Damico '10 has brought her talents to Bucknell, where she has earned a spot on the Bison's 2010-2011 team. Bucknell, a Division I program, competes in the Patriot League. Char joins 11 other freshman on the young squad who, according to Char, "is showing great promise this fall season." Char was co-captain of the 2010 Baldwin lacrosse team.

5/16/2011. . . Emma Hamm '07, Baldwin lacrosse sensation, has been named one of five women's finalists for the Tewaaraton Trophy, presented annually to the top females collegiate lacrosse player. All finalists will be honored and the 11th-annual award presented during a formal dinner and ceremony on Thursday, June 2, at the historic Warner Theatre in Washington D.C.
 
According to Lacrosse Magazine's Clare Lochary, "After missing the 2010 season with an injury, Hamm is back and better than ever, setting career highs with 41 and 21 assists. The two-time All-ACC selection is currently No. 1 on Duke's all-time list for draw controls with 166."
