The Baldwin Science Department invites Middle and Upper School families to “A Family Evening of Astronomy.” Now in its fifth year, this popular event will take place on Friday, Nov. 19 from 7 to 8:30 p.m. in the Athletic Center’s Multi-Purpose Room.
Baldwin began as a boarding school; but in 1972, the Board of Trustees voted to close the boarding division, and the last class of boarders graduated in 1974.
"One Book One Lower Merion" is a series of varied programs that are relevant to a book selected by the One Book One Lower Merion Committee. This season's book is Remarkable Creatures by Tracy Chevalier, a fascinating story of two women who changed the course of scientific understanding of evolution through their discovery of fossils in 18th century England. Baldwin will host one of these programs on Thursday, Nov. 11 when Dr. Ted Daschler of the Academy of Natural Sciences is the featured speaker. For more information, click on the download in the right column of this newsletter.
Middle School winter sports begin Nov. 15, and Upper School winter sports begin Nov. 22.  Click "read more" for more information.
