The Baldwin Science Department invites Middle and Upper School families to “A
Family Evening of Astronomy.” Now in its fifth year, this popular event will
take place on Friday, Nov. 19 from 7 to 8:30 p.m. in the Athletic Center’s
Multi-Purpose Room.

Baldwin began as a boarding school; but in 1972, the Board of Trustees voted to close the boarding division, and the last class of boarders graduated in 1974.

"One Book One Lower Merion" is a series of varied programs that are relevant to a book selected by the One Book One Lower Merion Committee. This season's book is
Remarkable Creatures by Tracy Chevalier, a fascinating story of two women who changed the course of scientific understanding of evolution through their discovery of fossils in 18th century England. Baldwin will host one of these programs on Thursday, Nov. 11 when

Friday, Nov. 12 at 2:40 p.m. when we challenge students from The Haverford School in our annual field hockey
and, for the first time this year, volleyball competition. Please join Grade VI
and the faculty/staff for a fun-filled afternoon on campus and cheer the girls on
to victory.

Our After School Enrichment Program, "Thinkingirls After School," offers a wide variety of fun and engaging courses for girls in grades PK through V.
Winter courses begin the week of Dec. 6 and end the week of Feb. 14.

The Baldwin Book Fair returns to the Baldwin campus Sunday, Dec. 5 through Tuesday, Dec. 7. Come to the Assembly Room for a variety of wonderful events including a performance by the Middle School Chorus, books and treats by the fire with Mom/Dad/Special Person, and a special appearance by local author Beth Kephart. The Baldwin Maskers will stage Neil Simon's hilarious Rumors Friday, Nov. 12 at 8 p.m. and Saturday, Nov. 13 at 2 and 8 p.m. in the Multipurpose Center of the Athletic Center. You are invited to the 10th anniversary dinner party for the Deputy Mayor of New York City and his wife, where you will enjoy, according to the New York Post, a "light, frothy and fun" evening of farce and comical miscommunication.
