Contacts & Directions

On next Friday, Sept. 24, we will be sending out a test message using our AlertNow system.  We use this system to communicate, via telephone, important messages regarding school closings, urgent information and emergencies.  If you need to update your telephone number or add additional numbers (such as cellphone numbers or the numbers of babysitters, grandparents, etc.) please email AlertNow@baldwinschool.org so that we can update our records.
Three of the four geranium plants in the Science Building greenhouse are over 40 years old. These plants have been cared for by science teachers, Susan Dorfman, Anne Kamrin and Mary Miller. Mary reports that she inherited the plants from a previous biology teacher.
Fall After School Enrichment programs are now open for registration. Courses begin the week of Sept. 20 and end the week of Nov. 15. Be sure to review the course offerings and consider enrolling your daughter in a course that will be an enriching and entertaining experience!
Does your daughter have a brother at Haverford? If so, please join us on Tuesday, Sept.  21 at 8 a.m. (sharp!) in the Residence to take a "sisters-only" photograph for Haverford's Fall Gala program book.
The weather is turning cooler but Parents' Assocation events are heating up!  On Thursday you will be receiving a packet outlining our Magazine Fundraiser.  Next week, stay tuned for more information on the 2010 Shopping Benefit at Bloomingdale's.  Please click the PA Newsletter button in the upper right hand corner for more information.
The Art Department is hosting a reception Sunday, Sept. 19 from 3 to 5 p.m. in the Residence Art Gallery for alumna artist Gail Cunningham '97. Please join us to meet or re-connect with Gail and see her delicate, striking cut-paper compositions. The exhibit runs through Oct. 12, and 20 percent of all works sold goes to the Baldwin Scholarship Fund.
A Message from Lower School Director Baiba Vasys
This Friday morning we will have the first Lower School Student Gathering.  Fifth graders will welcome all our girls to the new school year.
Squash Clinic, Ball Girls, Sports Schedules
The Lower School Squash Program for students in third, fourth and fifth grades, under the direction of Baldwin Squash Pro Karen Kronemeyer, begins Thursday Sept. 16.
Calling all Baldwin families! Rally for Baldwin! Click on the Homecoming flyer in the right column for a complete schedule of events for Lower, Middle and Upper School students and families.

Baldwin once again is a supporting sponsor of the Main Line 5K Run and Fun Walk to be held Sunday, Sept. 26 by the Main Line Chamber of Commerce for the benefit of the Chamber's Foundation. We are looking for runners to join the Baldwin team that placed second overall last year.

A Message from Middle School Director Lois Pressman
Middle School Trips
What an exciting Registration Day! The girls greeted one another and their teachers with great enthusiasm. We have missed their energy and enthusiasm in the Schoolhouse over the long summer vacation. It is wonderful to have the students back. This message contains important information about the upcoming Middle School trips.
We are off to a great start! Remember that Academic Evening is this Thursday night. We will start promptly at 7 in the Assembly Room  in order to get you home at a reasonable hour. Please plan to come early to check in and receive your evening’s schedule in the Main Hall. Check-in starts at 6:15.
A Message from Head of School Sally Powell
How many schools have their own interior designer? Well, Baldwin does. His name is Marcello Luzi, and for the past two years Marcello has been working with Baldwin on our campus beautification projects.
For the first time in recent history, the entire student body - PreK through Grade 12 - gathered with faculty and staff on Monday, Sept. 13 for the opening assembly of the new school year.
