On next Friday, Sept. 24, we will be sending out a test message using our AlertNow system. We use this system to communicate, via telephone, important messages regarding school closings, urgent information and emergencies. If you need to update your telephone number or add additional numbers (such as cellphone numbers or the numbers of babysitters, grandparents, etc.) please email AlertNow@baldwinschool.org so that we can update our records.

Three of the four geranium plants in the Science Building greenhouse are over 40 years old.
These plants have been cared for by science teachers, Susan Dorfman, Anne Kamrin and Mary Miller. Mary reports that she inherited the plants from a previous biology teacher.

Fall After School Enrichment programs are now open for registration. Courses begin the week of Sept. 20 and end the week of Nov. 15. Be sure to review the course offerings and consider enrolling your daughter in a course that will be an enriching and entertaining experience!

The weather is turning cooler but Parents' Assocation events are heating up! On Thursday you will be receiving a packet outlining our Magazine Fundraiser. The Art Department is hosting a reception Sunday, Sept. 19 from 3 to 5 p.m. in the Residence Art Gallery for alumna artist Gail Cunningham '97. Please join us to meet or re-connect with Gail and see her delicate,
striking cut-paper compositions. The exhibit runs through Oct. 12, and
20 percent of all works sold goes to the Baldwin Scholarship Fund.

Baldwin once again is a supporting sponsor of
the Main Line 5K Run and Fun Walk to be held Sunday, Sept. 26 by the Main
Line Chamber of Commerce for the benefit of the Chamber's Foundation. We are looking for runners to join the Baldwin team that placed second overall last year.

What an exciting Registration Day! The girls greeted one
another and their teachers with great enthusiasm. We have missed their energy
and enthusiasm in the Schoolhouse over the long summer vacation. It is
wonderful to have the students back. This message contains important
information about the upcoming Middle School trips.

We are off to a great start! Remember that Academic Evening is this Thursday night. We will start promptly at 7 in the Assembly Room in order to get you home at a reasonable hour. Please plan to come early to check in and receive your evening’s schedule in the Main Hall. Check-in starts at 6:15.

past two years Marcello has been working with Baldwin on our campus
beautification projects.
