Description:
The Baldwin School is seeking a seasoned communications professional to serve as the Communications Manager for one of the region's oldest and most prestigious independent schools for girls from pre-K through 12th grade. The Communications Manager is the leading voice of the school and is responsible for all publications, public relations and e-mail marketing. The position shares responsibility for social media with the Website Coordinator. The position reports to the Director of Marketing.
Requirements:
The candidate must have a minimum of three to five years of related experience and a B.A. or equivalent degrees. The candidate must be a good communicator with exceptional writing, verbal and organizational skills. Education or agency experience is a plus.

The Baldwin School’s marketing internship program features three dynamic hands-on opportunities for communications professionals for the Fall, Spring and Summer terms. Internships are competitive and are awarded to juniors, seniors and recent graduates who have the passion, poise and creativity to make an impact on the Baldwin School’s marketing and communications initiatives, and ultimately, make a difference in the lives of the 500+ girls studying at the School. All positions are highly visible, offering direct interaction with staff, students and the extended Baldwin family. Successful interns will leave with increased experience, skill sets and portfolio enhancing projects. While the positions are unpaid, a small stipend is available to offset expenses. College credit may be available through your school. Because interns are integrated into the marketing and communications department operation, a minimum of 24 hours a week are required with full days preferred. Summer internships follow a reduce day schedule of 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.

Description: The partnerships and promotions marketing intern will be the right hand of the director of marketing. The intern will participate in the development of community partnerships and sponsorships and be integrally involved in all implementation (as a marketing arm – not as an administrative one!). You’ll be arranging appearances, fulfilling sponsorships, tracking results and planning the new big thing(s). In addition, the intern will assist in researching new opportunities and providing tracking for advertising and general initiatives, in addition to participating in partnership and promotional and advertising planning meetings.
Dates: 24-40 hours per week. Full days preferred. Fall, spring and summer terms (start- and end-dates are flexible)
Requirements:
This internship is designed for students with strong organizational skills and writing skills, with the poise and expertise to be the acting account executive on projects. Applicants should be well versed in all Microsoft Office programs. Due to the high visibility and importance of this role, preference will be given to seniors and recent graduates.

Description: The Public Relations and Social Media Intern will be a voice of Baldwin. Working directly for the communications officer, the position will take stories from start to finish – writing, pitching, placing, promoting and tracking each piece. Story ideas will be generated through scheduled Baldwin events in addition to proactive creative brainstormings. You’ll even be grabbing the department camera to capture images of events for publication and archival purposes. You’ll be an integral part of our social media team with the ability to add posts and comments to Facebook and Twitter and even write your own entries for The 701 (our blog). In addition, this internship will include providing assistance with stories, photography and concepts for Baldwin’s magazine, Echoes. You’ll finish the internships with powerful components for your portfolio, with stories written and even more stories to tell.
Dates: 24-40 hours per week. Full days preferred. Fall, spring and summer terms (start- and end-dates are flexible)
Requirements: This internship is designed for students with excellent written and verbal communication skills in addition to strong organizational skills. Applicants should be well versed in social media channels including Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and Wordpress. Experience with the media and publications is preferred but not required.

Description:
Web intern will work directly with the web coordinator to further Baldwin’s brand and electronic presence. Main projects will include establishing web standards for the site and developing a visual assets management system. Design skills will be enhanced through opportunities to design templates and collateral to strengthen the school’s brand.
Dates:
15-40 hours per week. Full days preferred. Fall, spring and summer terms (start- and end-dates are flexible)
Requirements: This internship is designed for students with a creative eye and creative flair, backed by strong organizational skills and technical expertise. Applicants should be experienced in CSS and HTML, in addition to design programs including CS5 (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Dreamweaver).
