Baldwin's Camp Magar

Celebrating 72 Years

Director: Mrs. Deborah Duffy

The twenty-five acres of lovely grounds and spacious air-conditioned indoor accommodations of The Baldwin School provide for every need in all weather. Three large playing fields, an archery range, five new tennis courts, volleyball court and “The Super Tent” for outdoor cooking and camping programs, provide for some of the outdoor activities. Full day campers will swim twice a day in the beautiful collegiate-sized pool. Each group is scheduled for a daily period of expert swimming instruction as well as a recreational swimming period. The swimming program is directed by qualified Red Cross Water Safety Instructors and staffed by certified lifeguards.

Indoors, the Camp is headquartered in the Lower School Building. Each group will have its own classroom. In addition, an Art/Craft Studio and two gymnasiums (so large they can be divided into sections for rainy day play) all afford an opportunity for a rich and varied program.

Every summer about 70% of our former campers return. Early registration is only through invitations, which are extended first to former campers. Preference is given to full season enrollments.
