Legacy Luncheon and Pinning Ceremony
A special event for legacy members of the graduating class, during the ceremony seniors receive a legacy pin to proudly display on their blazers. “Pinners” and special guests include parents, grandparents, aunts and sisters.
On the back walls of the Assembly Room, you will find banners for each class. During the winter term, Grade 9 students design and create a banner around a theme on their class color. It is presented at an Upper School assembly in February.
In grade 10, students receive signet rings at a class dinner. Following the dinner, girls decorate the schoolhouse in a theme based on the class color and the evening concludes with a sleepover. The following day, Upper School students and faculty are invited to turn the student’s ring, wishing them luck for the years ahead.
The Marching-In dinner is held in late Spring. The Junior class wears their Senior blazers for the first time and sing a newly composed class song.
Last Day Celebrations
To celebrate their last day before Commencement, Grade 12 girls give presentations about their externship experiences, play a video they create to commemorate their year and "ring the gong" - a time-honored tradition that began in the '80s whereby each girl strikes the Baldwin gong on the main staircase of the Residence.
