On November 6, 2013, Baldwin alumna, Henrietta Fore ’66, was honored with the prestigious George Brown Award for International Scientific Cooperation given annually by CRDF Global. This award recognizes work in advancing international cooperation in science and technology and aims at acknowledging individuals whose work honors Brown’s vision. Henrietta joins 15 other honorees for her work as Chairman of the Board and Executive Officer of Holstam International and her “scientific and humanitarian achievements, and critical work advancing international cooperation.”
Henrietta has always had a curiosity and love for science even at a young age, and she believes her “deeper love of science began at the Baldwin School.”
She is grateful for her education she received and is committed to strengthening educational opportunities the world over. Throughout her various professional roles, Henrietta has stressed the importance of educating young people on science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM). She believes that “science and invention need to be paired with education and policies to build and protect intellectual property, with business and entrepreneurial infrastructures, with capital markets and legal courts in countries throughout the world.”
Baldwin recognized Henrietta at her 40th reunion in 2006 with The Baldwin School Alumnae Award and the Baldwin community wants to congratulate Henrietta on another fantastic accomplishment.
