Varsity Tennis Wins Eight Medals at Inter-Ac Championships

Varsity tennis captured eight out of 11 individual medals at the 2017 Inter-Ac League Championships held on Tuesday afternoon at Episcopal Academy. It was the most medals won by the tennis program since the 2010 season.

Varsity Soccer Wins Back-to-Back League Games

After starting their league season with a win against Agnes Irwin, Baldwin's soccer season has been rickety, until late. The Bears went on to drop a close match against Episcopal 4-3 on September 22, and tied Springside Chestnut Hill 1-1 four days later on the 26th. Despite losing to Penn Charter 3-0 at the beginning of the month, the Bears have been on the rise.

The 3rd Annual Blue Gray Golf and Tennis Outing was a big success on Monday, October 2 at Green Valley Country Club in Lafayette Hill. More than 100 people attended the event which raised funds for the athletic department.

Squash coach Madeline Perry has been named Baldwin's Director of Squash. During her short time as Interim Director she has made changes to the Baldwin Squash Academy and began the planning for the school squash programs.

Gia Vicari '19 Selected Main Line Athlete of the Week

The junior forward, Baldwin School's all-time leading soccer scorer (46 career goals scored as of Monday Sept. 25), is off to another fine start for Baldwin this fall, with nine goals for the Polar Bears (4-2 as of Monday). Last fall, as a sophomore, she set a Baldwin single-season scoring record (27 goals), led the Polar Bears to their best season in program history (17-7, PAISAA state tournament semifinalist), and received first team All-Inter-Ac and All-Main Line honors. She verbally committed to Georgetown for soccer at end of her sophomore year. The Reading resident also plays forward for the Penn Fusion Soccer Club.

For the first time in three years, Baldwin head coach Jeff Sacks had to establish a new singles line-up due to the departure of Emma Sass, who graduated following three years at the first singles spot and is now playing tennis for Washington University in St. Louis.

Baldwin Celebrates Its 129th Graduating Class

On Thursday, June 8, 57 seniors graduated from The Baldwin School as the 129th graduating class. These seniors earned 253 acceptances to 135 colleges and universities across 18 states in the US and 3 countries. Seventy-one percent were admitted to their first choice college.
