The Baldwin MS Survivor Challenge

The three days before Winter Break, Baldwin's Middle School held its second annual interdisciplinary experiential learning project. The girls tapped into their creative problem-solving skills to collaborate across grades to tackle four different design challenges. This year, based on the student suggested idea of survival during natural disasters, a group of middle school teachers developed Baldwin's second all-MS experiential learning experience, "The Baldwin MS Survivor Challenge."

Baldwin alumna Marina Tomazinis, PhD, MPH '88 has recently created the Welcome Foundation to help those refugees stranded in Greece. The majority of the refugees arriving there come from war-torn Syria; others are from Afghanistan and Iraq. Almost 50 percent of these refugees are children.

Seniors Participate in Science Research Symposium

The Science Department hosted its fifth annual Science Student Research Symposium on Wednesday, November 9. Eight amazing senior scientists from the Class of 2017 spent their summers in research labs at the University of Washington, Wills Eye Hospital, June Laboratory at the Smilow Center for Translational Research, the University of Pennsylvania and the Thomas Jefferson University College of Medicine.

Baldwin Publishes The Baldwin Review
