Baldwin Wired

Baldwin Wired will remain true to our school’s mission - to nurture our students’ passion for intellectual rigor in academics, creativity in the arts and competition in athletics, even while we are virtual. We will continue to evolve our platform as we explore innovative new approaches and continue to develop our Baldwin Bears into confident young women with vision, global understanding and the competency to make significant and enduring contributions to the world.

Works on Architecture | Design Unit

The Grade 6 engineering class is working on an architecture and design unit using CAD software to design their “DREAM” houses. During a remote class, the students narrowed down a location by finding an actual lot of land on Zillow and then used Google Maps Street View to remotely see it. Future classes will include designing the land topography in CAD and then building the foundation. The last steps will be to build out the houses and add interior design elements. Finally, MS DREAM Lab® Coordinator Addison Lilholt plans to use the 3D printer to print the houses.
