The Baldwin School Library was excited to host award-winning author Hena Khan on December 5. Khan is a Pakistani American Muslim who enjoys writing about her culture and religion. She met with students in PreK – Grade 6 to share her journey as a writer, experience writing and the need for more diverse stories. This event supports Baldwin's commitment to expose students to diverse cultures and perspectives.

On November 27, 14 Upper School students from the Baldwin DECA club attended the District 11 competition in King of Prussia. The Baldwin DECA team placed in six events, advancing to compete at the State conference in Hershey in February.

A school record 12 Upper School student-athletes earned All-Inter-Ac League honors for their outstanding play during the fall 2018 season.

The week before Thanksgiving has proved to be quite festive for the Baldwin School soccer team. On Nov. 14, the Polar Bears played in the PAISAA championship final for the first time in program history; then five days later, a Division I college signing ceremony was held for three Baldwin seniors who played a large role in accomplishing that feat.

Episcopal Academy senior Maddie Loughead took the slow walk at Immaculata's Draper Walsh Stadium Wednesday night with a bandaged leg, a clear mind and fresh eyes. The outside back sported a slight limp — "I tore my quad in the summer," Loughead off-handedly explained. But with the gait of a hobbled gunslinger blowing into a frontier town, Loughead knew she had a job to do in the fifth round of the shootout.
