Varsity swimmer Anya Mostek '22 and diver Megan Cooper '21 set new school records at the Easterns Swimming and Diving Championships held February 15-16 at Franklin and Marshall College and Germantown Academy.

The Baldwin School sophomore became the first-ever Polar Bear to win the Inter-Ac League diving championship, posting a score of 257.30 for six dives. She broke the school diving record on the Polar Bears' first meet of the season and has broken it twice since. She also finished first at the Upper Dublin High School Diving Classic earlier this season. Outside of the pool, she is the head representative of the Technology Student Association at Baldwin, and is involved in the Art Club and Florilege, the French club. She wants to pursue a career in the STEM field, and can recite from memory the first 55 digits of pi.

The Scholastic Arts and Writing Award is a nationwide contest that honors outstanding achievement in high school visual and literary arts. This year, Baldwin students earned 47 awards.

The spring sports online team stores for practice and spirit gear are now open until Friday, February 15. Show your Polar Bear pride and buy your gear today. Go to and enter the Access Code for your spring team to begin shopping. Gear will arrive in mid-March and can be picked up at the Athletic Center in room 107.

In the fall English elective "Fairy Tales Reinvented," six senior students — Destiny Brown, Jane McAleese, Savannah Sanford, Ashley Tate, Cartier Thomas and Olivia Tornetta — explored two questions: What is a fairy tale? Are fairy tales still relevant in a modern world?
