David Hart

Director of Aquatics
Varsity Swimming Head Coach


David Hart has been directing aquatics facilities and coaching swimming for more than 20 years. Since 2008, Mr. Hart has been Baldwin’s Director of Aquatics, Head Coach of the Baldwin Varsity Swim Team and Head Coach of BSC, a USA Swimming club team.

Swimming and aquatics have been a part of Mr. Hart’s life for as long as he can remember. His mom was a nationally ranked college swimmer and coached David in his early years. Mr. Hart went on to become a scholarship swimmer at Auburn University where he was a three-time Division I All-American and was world-ranked. He made the USA Swimming Team in 1979 and qualified for the 1980 Olympic Trials. 

As a coach, Mr. Hart was awarded Middle Atlantic Zone Coach distinction. Many of his swimmers have gone on as scholarship swimmers in college and he has produced district champion swimmers and one swimmer who went on to become a world champion. Mr. Hart has been head coach three USA Swimming club teams. He also started and coached the Lower Cape May Regional High School Swim Team, along with the Wildwood Catholic Swim Teams in New Jersey.

Mr. Hart is married with four children and lives in Bryn Mawr.
