Dr. Kathy England is the Coordinator of Physical Education, overseeing Baldwin’s Lower, Middle, and Upper School Physical Education Programs. She teaches physical education and swimming to PK-12 students and coach’s middle school basketball and softball. Dr. England is also the Grade IX Dean.
Dr. England was a three sport student-athlete at Bishop Watterson High School in Columbus, Ohio where she earned 12 varsity letters. She was the first female at her high school to receive the Columbus Agonis Award for top athlete during her senior year. She received a basketball and softball scholarship to Kent State University where she graduated with her B.S. in Health and Physical Education. Dr. England then received a Teaching Assistantship at the University of Iowa where she graduated with her Master’s Degree in Physical Education and Athletic Administration. After teaching at the elementary, and college levels, Dr. England attended the Ohio State University where she received her Doctorate in Teacher Education/ Physical Education.
Kathy has taught health and physical education for the last 28 years at the elementary, middle, high school, and college/university levels. She has coached high school and middle school basketball; college, high school and middle school softball; and college, high school and middle school field hockey.
