History Show & Tell

Hosted by Karen Pearlman Raab and Nathan Raab (P '30) on Saturday, March 6
Join us for an evening of History Show and Tell with Baldwin parents Karen Pearlman Raab and Nathan Raab (P ‘30). The Raabs, principals at The Raab Collection, are the preeminent American dealers in rare documents and artifacts. Together, the Raabs will discuss their amazing work discerning the differences between real and forged artifacts and some of their “greatest finds,” including items from the Founding Fathers. This event will include a signed copy of Nathan’s recently published book “The Hunt for History,” a variety pack of “Ales of the Revolution” from Yards Brewing Company, two Baldwin pint glasses and a selection of foods from the Founding Father era.  One lucky attendee will receive a gilded edge, leather bound, limited edition copy of “The Hunt for History”. This event is not to be missed!

Karen Pearlman Raab joined The Raab Collection after a career as an attorney at Drexel University’s Law School where she developed the school’s Pro Bono Program and created innovative programming and partnerships for clinical legal education. Karen has a deep interest in the individuals who played key roles in the great moments in history and the relationships that changed the course of world events. She enjoys sharing this passion with collectors who she assists in acquiring pieces and curating collections that are not only historically important, but personally interesting.  Equally, this passion comes through while working with descendants and individuals to sell their family archives or significant pieces of history.

Nathan Raab is a principal at The Raab Collection, a business which has discovered and carried some of America’s most important historical documents and artifacts.  Nathan advises public and private clients worldwide.  As one of the world’s most knowledgeable and respected experts in historical documents, Nathan works with clients as they navigate the waters of building and presenting fine and important collections of their own. He advises the relatives of famous historical figures (such as Dwight Eisenhower, Thomas Jefferson and Ronald Reagan), as well as lifelong collectors and their families, as they sell their treasures.
