Anya Mostek '22 Excels at U.S. Open Swim Championships

Varsity swimming co-captain and Harvard-bound Anya Mostek '22 shined at the 2021 U.S. Open Swim Championships held December 1-4 at the Greensboro Aquatic Center in North Carolina. Mostek represented the Phoenixville YMCA and placed 3rd in the 100m Backstroke with a time of 1:01.93. That's a new best time by half a second and qualifies Anya for the U.S. World Championship trials scheduled for April 26-30, 2022  also taking place in Greensboro. The International Team Trials will serve as a qualifier for the 2022 FINA World Championships, the 2022 World Junior Championships and the 2022 World University Games.

 

Mostek also finished in 8th place in the 200m Individual Medley at the U.S. Open. Mostek was swimming against the nation's best swimmers which include Olympians and the best in the collegiate ranks.
