Philadelphia Classical Society Academic and Project Competitions - 2022
A number of Baldwin students have been named winners in the 83rd annual Philadelphia Classical Society (PCS) academic and project competitions. The awards luncheon was held on April 23 at the Drexelbrook Banquet Facility in Drexel Hill, PA. This is the second year that the judging was conducted virtually. In February, students submitted videos of their projects, and judges from a wide geographic area were invited to judge.

Seven of Baldwin’s entries were selected as “Best of Category” submissions from the 16 participating schools: Megan Magee ’22 and Anna Wang ’22 (sketches); Lisa Evans ’23 (mosaic); Rena Kaplan ’24 (painting); Caroline Parillo ’24 (hand-drawn comic); Anna Ko ’27 (hand-drawn comic); and Kate Simpkins ’28 (pottery). During the luncheon, Lisa Evans’ Delphinus (dolphin) mosaic was awarded a certificate for the Best of the Best among all high school “best” project submissions.
