CHOP Surgeons Visit Baldwin

During Middle and Upper School assemblies this week, our students heard from Baldwin parents, Dr. Greg Heuer (P ’27) and Dr. Jesse Taylor (P ’28), on their collaborative and individual work within their fields. Dr. Heuer is an Associate Professor and the Director of Prenatal and Neonatal Surgery in the Division of Neurosurgery at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. He holds the Endowed Chair in Pediatric Neurosurgery. Dr. Taylor is Chief of the Division of Plastic, Reconstructive and Oral Surgery, Co-Director of the Cleft Lip and Palate Program and Co-Director of the Craniofacial Program at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. He holds the Peter Randall Endowed Chair of Plastic Surgery.

Dr. Heuer and Dr. Taylor talked about their world-renowned surgery of separating conjoined twins with the use of 3D-printed models. They also spent time in different science classes and enjoyed lunch with a group of our Middle School students.
