Baldwin's Tessa Logan Named Main Line Athlete of the Week

4/11. . . by Michael Beirne. . . GOOD START: The Bears junior pitcher and outfielder got off to a hot start, going 3-for-4 with four RBIs, three runs and a walk in the opener vs. The Hill School. Among those three hits was a home run.

“I was kind of surprised by the home run because I’m not one of the big hitters on the team,” recalled Logan. “But I was really happy when he [third base coach] started waving me home. I’m not sure where it went but I just ran.”

Logan is the No. 1 starter for the Bears (1-1) this year, and she has four pitches to choose from. She relies mostly on her fastball and change-up, but she can also go to a screwball and “kinda throw a riser.”
