Dr. Oxana Harlamova

Director, Piano
Dr. Oxana Harlamova graduated from the Academy of Music, Chisinau, Moldova, former USSR with a Master of Music in Piano Performance, and PhD in Collaborative Piano. She had her first debut with Moldovan Symphony Orchestra at the age of seven and the same year was accepted into a boarding music school for gifted students, the “Sergey Rachmaninov Lyceum.” A first prize winner of the 1986 National Moldovan Competition, Dr. Harlamova received a Diploma of Excellence in collaborative piano at the International Competition “Jeunesse Musicales” in Bucuresti, Romania. As a collaborative pianist Dr. Harlamova has performed numerous recitals at renowned concert halls in New York, Moscow, St. Petersburg and other North American and European cities. Her commitment to teaching and inspiring young students in their study of piano music was recognized with the teachers award by the Golden Key Musical Festival. Believing that an early start is the best for a musician, Dr. Harlamova nurtures students' talents by exposing them to musical concepts using engaging teaching techniques in a form that is accessible to a young child.
