Student Life and Engagement

Advisory

Baldwin’s Upper School advisory program seeks to nurture the whole student in small, peer-based groups. Each student is assigned a faculty advisor who remains with her for four years and meets with an advising group consisting of a small number of students and their advisor regularly to cover topics that are important to the life of Upper School students.

In addition to Baldwin’s five core values—learning, respect, responsibility, compassion and honesty—the advisory program emphasizes problem-solving, openness, confidence and independence, leading to self-awareness and self-advocacy.

Athletics

The goal of Baldwin athletics is to provide a safe and fun environment that supports each student and to provide a wide variety of athletic teams so girls can explore their interests.

Through our physical education and athletics programs, Baldwin girls are taught important lessons of health and balance that they will carry throughout their lives.

Clubs and Activities

Through involvement in extracurricular activities, Upper School students take risks, learn new skills and become leaders. In addition to Senate, Service League, Arts League and the Athletic Association, club participation encourages the girls to discover, explore and nurture their interests and talents.

From Robotics to the Hourglass (the School newspaper) to Film Theory Club, there are numerous opportunities for girls to expand their knowledge, get involved or try something new.
