  • Step 2: Student and Parent Visit

Students entering Grades 6 - 12 will spend time with our Admissions Team, students, faculty members and complete an English assessment. This visit allows your daughter to experience Baldwin's unique learning environment.

Please complete the Student Activities Profile Form to tell us about your daughter's activities outside of the classroom. When complete, please send to the Baldwin Admissions Office.

During the student visit, parents will be invited to meet with our Admissions Director in order to learn more about the School and share information about your daughter. In advance of your meeting we request that you submit a Family Pre-Visit Questionnaire so we may better prepare for your visit. When complete, please send to the Baldwin Admissions Office.
  • Step 3: Admissions Testing

Families may submit either ISEE or SSAT exam scores from within the last year. We will accept results of ISEE or SSAT exams administered both in-person or online for 2022-23 applicants.

    SSAT code: 1468
    ISEE code: 390480

Please use SSAT.org or ERBLearn.org to register for one of the tests at a local site.

You may also reach out to area psychologists who can administer the tests individually.
  • Step 4: Transcripts and Current Grade Report

Please give the Transcript Release Form to the Principal or classroom teacher at your daughter’s current school after her first marking period. A transcript or official copy of your daughter’s most recent reports, including the prior two academic years, as well as copies for any results for standardized tests, should be sent directly to the Baldwin Admissions Office
  • Step 5: Teacher Recommendations

We value input from your daughter's teachers. Please provide the appropriate teacher recommendation forms below to your daughter’s classroom teacher at her current school. Please click on the link to download the forms. Your daughter's teacher should send the completed forms directly to Baldwin Admissions Office. To ensure prompt consideration of your daughter's application, we encourage you to follow-up with your daughter's teachers to ensure the forms have been submitted.

  • Step 6: Student Letter to the Head of School

Now that your daughter has had the opportunity to explore Baldwin, we ask that applicants submit a letter to our Head of School, Dr. Marisa Porges '96. This letter should be written by your daughter and should be a one-page personal statement about her interests, activities, special experiences and hopes for the future. We recommend this letter be written after your daughter's visit to campus. When complete, please send directly to the Baldwin Admissions Office. This letter will also be shared with the Admissions Committee.
