APPLICATION FEE: All applications require a non-refundable $50 application fee. While applying online, you will be prompted to enter your credit card information.
STUDENT ACTIVITIES PROFILE FORM: Please complete this form to tell us about your daughter's activities outside of the classroom and email to the Baldwin Admissions Office.

RECOMMENDATION FORMS: We value input from your daughter’s teachers. Please give this English recommendation form and this Math recommendation form to your daughter’s teachers at her current school after her first marking period. Your daughter’s teachers should send the completed forms directly to the Baldwin Admissions Office. To ensure prompt consideration of your daughter’s application, we encourage you to follow-up with your daughter’s teachers to make sure that the forms have been sent to us.

TRANSCRIPT RELEASE FORM: Please give this form to the Principal at your daughter’s current school after her first marking period. A transcript or official copy of your daughter’s most recent reports, including the prior two academic years, as well as copies for any results for standardized tests, should be sent directly to the Baldwin Admissions Office.

PARENT VISIT: Parents are invited to meet with our Admissions Director to learn more about the school and share information about your daughter. Meetings will be scheduled after the application and Family Pre-Visit Questionnaire have been submitted.

STUDENT VISIT: Students entering Grades 9-12 will spend time with our Admissions Team, students and faculty members. This visit allows your daughter to experience Baldwin's unique learning environment. Once we receive your daughter’s application, and Family Pre-Visit Questionnaire, we will contact you to arrange a visit. 

 We require applicants to submit a letter to our Head of School, Dr. Marisa Porges '96. This letter will also be shared with the Admissions Committee and should be a one-page personal statement about the applicant’s interests, activities, special experiences and hopes for the future. This letter can be sent directly to the Baldwin Admissions Office.


Testing is required for all applicants entering Grades 6-12. Students must complete a Baldwin English Assessment. This assessment takes one hour and assesses comprehension and writing skills. No specific preparation is required, and we will work with you to schedule this assessment for your daughter.

Students must submit the results of the Secondary School Admissions Test (SSAT) or the Independent School Entrance Exam (ISEE). Our SSAT code is 1468 and our ISEE code is 39040. There are several area psychologists who administer the ISEE or SSAT individually; the websites and will offer locations and times of group testing.
