Lenuta Ciulei is a renowned violinist who has performed with major orchestras in 43 countries. She has played at notable festivals like Enescu, Marlboro and the South American Contemporary Music Festival. Lenuta has given concerts for presidents of North Korea, Venezuela, Italy, China, Romania, Brazil and the Philippines, and for the English and Spanish royal families. Critics praise her talent, calling her “one of the greatest European violinists” and highlighting her beautiful sound and technical mastery. She trained at the National University of Music in Romania, studying with famous musicians and learning Baroque performance and conducting. She is the youngest “Premio Paganini” winner and has won prizes in other international competitions. Lenuta is also a dedicated teacher, giving master classes worldwide and helping her students build successful careers. She has been an Aresty Research Foundation Mentor at Rutgers since 2009 and has earned recognition as an outstanding educator from the University of Chicago. As the Artistic Director of the Orvieto Festival of Strings and the Associate Director of the Atlantic Chamber Orchestra, she attracts talented artists from around the globe. Lenuta has also served as a judge for many international competitions, including the “Premio Paganini” and the “Michelangelo Abbado” competitions.
