Baldwin Students Participate in Ivy League Model UN
From January 26 to January 29, two dozen members of the Baldwin Model UN Club joined hundreds of high school students from around the country for the annual Ivy League Model United Nations conference in Philadelphia hosted by the University of Pennsylvania. Representing the nations of Israel, Indonesia and Canada students debated pressing international issues, forged coalitions with other delegations and drafted resolutions in sessions that stretched into wee hours of the night.
Others took part in elaborate simulations of the struggle between Queen Elizabeth and Mary Queen of Scots and a reimagining of the popular Spanish television show Money Heist.
Current students were pleasantly surprised to discover alumna Ryan Murphy ’22 working behind the scenes to organize the conference.
