Baldwin Named #1 All-Girls High School and Private K-12 School in Pennsylvania

The Baldwin School is proud to announce its recent recognition by Niche as the #1 All-Girls High School in Pennsylvania and the #1 Private K-12 School in Pennsylvania for 2025. In addition, Baldwin was ranked the #2 Best High School for STEM in Pennsylvania, and #15 best All-Girls High School in the nation, reinforcing our long-standing reputation for academic excellence and innovation in education.

These rankings are more than accolades — they reflect Baldwin’s unwavering commitment to providing an educational experience intentionally Designed for Her. Powered by our four strategic pillars — Leading with Purpose, Cultivating Community, Empowering Learners, and Reimagining Our Environment — Baldwin offers a transformative learning journey that prepares girls not only to succeed, but to lead with confidence and courage.

Since our founding in 1888 by visionary educator Florence Baldwin, our School has stood at the forefront of all-girls education. Ms. Baldwin believed that young women deserved the same rigorous academic preparation as their male counterparts — a revolutionary idea at the time, and one that continues to shape our mission today.

At Baldwin, education is not one-size-fits-all. Grounded in neuroscience and research-backed practices, our approach celebrates the way girls learn — through collaboration, creativity, connection, and challenge. Whether she's in the STEM lab conducting experiments, participating in dynamic humanities discussions, or engaging in hands-on interdisciplinary projects, every Baldwin student is encouraged to find her voice, own her strengths, and pursue her passions.

Our Head of School Lynne Macziewski captures it best, saying “At Baldwin, we give our girls the skills, the knowledge, and the ability to believe in themselves — to develop confidence, to know that they can do anything. Our students see themselves as equals when they are around boys — they see no difference. And that in itself is the power of an all-girls education.”

We are honored by this recognition and inspired by what it represents: a celebration of our students, faculty, and families who make Baldwin a place where girls thrive. We don’t just prepare our students for the future — we empower them to lead it.
