Baldwin AI Research Team's Talk Accepted at BSides Philly 2025 Conference

Congratulations to two of our Baldwin juniors, Caroline Ma '27 and Avery Moyer '27, and Director of Technology and Computer Science and Engineering faculty member Dr. Thomas Heverin, whose talk, “LLM-SRO: Ontology-Driven Security for Large Language Models,” has been accepted at BSides Philly 2025, a major cybersecurity conference taking place this December.

Their research introduces a new ontology-driven framework for identifying and defending against adversarial risks in large language models (LLMs), a cutting-edge topic in artificial intelligence (AI) security. Built collaboratively using a data modeling tool and paired with ChatGPT, the project demonstrates how Baldwin students can meaningfully contribute to emerging fields of cybersecurity research.

We’re so proud to see Baldwin students’ work recognized on a professional stage and to celebrate this incredible example of mentorship, innovation, and collaboration in action.
