DECA Students Recognized at State Competition

DECA is an international organization that focuses on preparing future high school and college students for careers in marketing, finance, hospitality and management. From February 19 to 21, 28 Baldwin students attended the Pennsylvania DECA State Competition in Hershey, PA, where they participated in 16 events ranging from Entrepreneurship to Community Awareness to Sports and Entertainment Marketing. Award winners during the event included: 
  • Krissy Bhargava '22 and Sydney Bramen '22 (3rd place and mini-award; Entrepreneurship Team Decision Making, qualified for DECA’s annual International Career Development Conference),
  • Presley Daggett '21, Veda Goverdhanam '20, Maya Murray '21 and Torrie Smith '20 (2nd Place Quiz Bowl),
  • Emma Chen '22 (5th place and mini-award; Business Finance), 
  • Katherine Yang '20 (5th place and mini-award; Retail Merchandising),
  • Alondra Freundt-Hatton '23 (mini-award; Principles of Business Administration),
  • Kaitlyn Johnson '22 (mini-award; Integrated Marketing Campaign - Service),
