Baldwin School Celebrates Class of 2029 at Grade 8 Moving Up Ceremony

On June 3, during a beautiful moving up ceremony, the eighth grade Outstanding Contributions to the Life of the Middle School award recipients were announced: Isabella Berger ’29, Emma McLean ’29, Elise Skawinski ’29 and Alice Tian ’29. Also recognized was Layla Fisher '29, who received the Ruth Fiesel ’38 Award. Layla is described as open and inclusive, a true friend to everyone, who brings a positive energy to our school community. She embodies the Baldwin mission and lives a balanced life with joy and focus. In the classroom, she is personable, prepared and passionate about learning. Through mature self-reflection and determination, she sets goals for herself and achieves them. This is particularly seen not only in the classroom, but in the dance studio and on stage. As an emerging leader of our middle school winter dance team, she supported her teammates, welcomed a new dance coach and created performances with her whole heart and a lot of patience.
